Close to the top of Plump Hill, between Mitcheldean and Nailbridge, Plump Hill Pool on the north (right) of the A4136 when heading towards Nailbridge, or the left when heading towards Mitcheldean.

Access is obtained by turning off the A4136 towards “Wilderness”, there is parking in laybys on the track towards the Wilderness centre, or at the car park at the far end of the lake (furthest from the road). The pool is a very short walk from the parking areas.

Plump Hill is a small venue, the site is shared with the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust. Ideal for the pleasure angler, although note that the use of keepnets is banned. Fishing from the bank opposite the car park is prohibited too, due to the rare and scientifically interesting plant growth in the marshy ground.
